Umpire with FCNLL
Would you be interested in UMPIRING with FCNLL this Fall Season? If so, follow the steps below to volunteer and we'll get you setup for games this season!
VOLUNTEER:
Complete the necessary certifications and once complete, you can upload them in SportsConnect, www.fcnll.com.
- Sign up to 'volunteer' in Sports Connect. www.fcnll.com Select your volunteer role as 'Umpire'.
- Upload the applicant's current Driver's License (If under 16 years of age, you may skip this step)
- Volunteer applicant must pass the background investigation. Click HERE to view the unacceptable crimes document.
- Upload all 3 certificates of completion for the training outlined above.

Once you've successfully volunteered to umpire, we will send you the schedule and get you setup with appropriate gear for the games!
TRAINING:
You will walk through umpire calls, field positions and learn plate mechanics and rules. There will be time for Question and Answers as well as game scenarios. Dress for on field instruction. Led by Umpire in Chief - date/time is TBD.
SCHEDULE:
- You will have access to the game schedule, and can signup for the dates/times that work best for you! Below are the details for each division of play.
Divisions:
- Minors division has a plate umpire only
- Majors division has a plate and field umpire.
- Senior division requires an adult plate umpire and also needs a field umpire.
GEAR:
- If you plan to umpire with us regularly, we'd like to issue you gear for the season that will need to be returned when games are complete for the season.
- For umpire attire - specifically for our junior field umps, please wear black bottoms. We will issue you an umpire shirt (to be returned) and a FCN hat that you may keep.
GAME DAY PROCESS: Please bring water/Gatorade and plan to arrive 10-15 mins prior to game start time. Game balls will be available in the concession stand OR in the lock box for pickup. We will be glad to provide a drink and food item per game in appreciation of your time, when the Concession Stand is open.
END OF SEASON PAYMENT: In order to be compliant with Little League operating policies:
- Jr umpires - ages 12-17 with be thanked with gift card, $35 plate / $25 field per game
- Adult umpires - 18+ up, volunteer
